Back on This Side of the Door

In Chapter 5, Peter and Susan are convinced that Lucy has lost touch with reality. Much like they sought the wisdom of the Professor, who by the way says she HAS not lost her marbles, we seek direction from “Our Professors” about how to use and understand what the Handbook says about segregating duties. Unlike the Professor in the book, you WON’T leave more confused than when you entered.

What Lucy Found There

Much like Lucy’s confusion when Tumnus asks Lucy how she has arrived in Narnia, the liquidation of a Chapter 7 bankruptcy can sometimes make us feel that we need to be invited for more than tea! Jason Petit will expertly guide us through Chapter 7 of the bankruptcy code and help us avoid being caught by the White Witch (or needing more than tea!).

Into the Forest

The end of Chapter 6 has Edmund contending that the robin who has led them to the middle of the wood may not be friendly: may be on the wrong side, possibly leading them into a trap. In the end, Edmund admits that they do not even know which is the “wrong” or the “right” side and have no clue how to get home. Our judges will give us clues on how to know “right” from “wrong”, “property” from “non-property”, how to base our statements on facts and not biased view points for the greed of Turkish Delight. Explore with us Chapter 5 of the Bankruptcy Code, won’t you?

A Day with the Beavers

"And now a very curious thing happened. None of the children knew who Aslan was any more than you do; but the moment the Beaver had spoken [his name] everyone felt quite different." Much like when we hear “health care business”, “ombudsman”. How do we hire professionals and how do they get paid? A meal of delicious fish and potatoes probably won’t do it. Join us for a look at Part 2 of the Rules.

Peter’s First Battle

As the children reach the Stone Table, to their left is a golden pavilion and to the right is Aslan, surrounded by the good creatures of Narnia. The children stand in awe of Aslan, showing reverence as well as fear. To creditors, Trustee’s and their assistants can exude the same emotions. In the end, Aslan says that even though Peter might have contributed to Edmund’s betrayal and the pleas of Lucy for Aslan to save Edmund, Aslan tells them he will do all he can but it won’t be easy. Scott will try to make the process as “easy” as he can for us when it comes to claims and distribution to creditors.

What Happened After Dinner

Much as Aslan is the God of Narnia, more importantly he is portrayed as a great, good king. “Don't you know who is the King of Beasts? Aslan is a lion—the Lion, the great Lion." Dwayne Murray will share insights from Part 7 of the Rules on to be a great, good Trustee’s Assistant when it comes to adversary proceedings.

Lucy Looks into a Wardrobe

The first chapter of the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe shows us the character development of four children. Much the same way, Mark and Candy will show us the “case” development of a chapter 7 bankruptcy as ‘depicted’ in Chapter 3 of the Bankruptcy Code.

Edmund and the Wardrobe

After following Lucy into the wardrobe, unbeknownst to Lucy, Edmund finds himself in Narnia. He can’t find Lucy and doesn’t know what to do. He is puzzled and incoherent. Sound familiar when it comes to reporting? Representatives from our bankruptcy providers will sort out what the Handbook says and doesn’t say about reporting.

Turkish Delight

As much as we don’t want to admit it, it is easy to get distracted. Edmund got distracted by his uncontrollable desire for Turkish Delight. As he ate it, he lost focus and didn’t realize that the answers that he was giving the Queen were endangering his family. He needed to stop eating and stop talking. When it comes to ethics, we cannot get obsessed with Turkish Delight and mistake the Witch as the Queen of Narnia.
