SPECIAL OFFERS and DISCOUNTS FOR We have gone around and tried to get tour operators to come up with special NABT rates for the various travel opportunities in Alaska. The following is what we have come up with. Keep checking back as it will be continuously updated as the year goes on. Whether you call or book online, just ask for the NABT discount. Cruise West (www.cruisewest.com) is offering 15-20% off various cruises within Alaska that coincide with the NABT conference. The 7-day trip out of Juneau is very unique and if you check with your travel agent or Cruise West you will find it is not difficult to get a “stopover” in Juneau to or from Anchorage. Clippership Motor Homes (info@clippershiprv.com) is offering a $30 per day discount off their normal rates. This is a screamer deal and a great way to see Alaska. Kenai Fjords Tours (www.alaskaheritagetours.com) offers day trips out of both Whittier and Seward to view whales, mountains, glaciers, puffins, sea lions, otters, birds, birds and more birds. Ask for the NABT discount. Their boats are big enough that they are very comfortable and handle the seas well. The Phillips “26 Glacier Cruise” (www.26glaciers.com) offers outstanding 6 hour glacier tours out of Whittier, about 90 minutes south of Anchorage. They have large comfortable and fast boats to get you out onto Prince William Sound. You’ll have an opportunity to see all the things at the Kenai Fjords, just a different setting and not as long a drive. Explore Tours is an Anchorage tour operator that specializes in taking care of conference attendees. If you want to book hotels, B&B’s, Road Houses, etc. on the trip to Dawson City or just down to the Kenai Peninsula and don’t want to worry about what you’ll find when you get there, they can help you. They can arrange individual or group white water rafting trips and probably some adventures that we’ve never heard of.
