Amelia Island is an art and antique collector’s paradise. The quaint shopping of Centre Street offers plenty of stores filled with items that date back to the island’s Victorian past, as well as galleries selling works from up and coming local artists. For one of a kind gifts and collectibles, Fernandina Beach’s charming Centre Street spares you the heavy hand of chain stores. With unique finds from the island’s storied past to a gourmet market, you’re sure to find a keepsake that will forever remind you of your visit.

On Amelia Island, the urge to shop is happily satisfied among an eclectic collection of local stores, shops, galleries and boutiques, as well as a few familiar retailers. Numerous men, women and children apparel stores grace the island, giving you a wide range of styles to choose from.

During the fabulous shopping tour, guests will meet at a cozy and unique Seafood restaurant, located in the Heart of Amelia, and enjoy a casual fine dining lunch experience. In addition you will enjoy a carriage Tour during your free time that shows the historic district and beautiful Fernandina Beach area of Amelia Island.

NABT 5K Run

Friday, September 23rd: 6:30 am

A 5k course will be mapped out for prep runs and pacing is available. Your race will begin in the morning and end in time for sessions. The Ritz-Carlton definition of a fun/run walk is any place that allows one to keep smiling and walk away with a sense of accomplishment. Whether you choose to beat the clock or enjoy a leisurely stroll while watching the sunrise, the choice is yours. The Ritz-Carlton knows that when you are done walking or running the beaches at Amelia Island, you will be happy you joined the group.

NABT Beach Olympics

Friday, September 23rd: 1:30 pm

Are you up for the challenge? Let’s work on NABT’s camaraderie and group participation. Participation is limited to the first 50 who sign up. All other NABT attendees are welcome to cheer on participants and enjoy an afternoon at the beach. Light snacks and drinks provided to all registered attendees! Must have name badge!!!

Team Cheer: Each team will be given three minutes to develop a cheer that will become your adhesive to motivate you to Olympic fame. Each cheer will be judged on creativity, originality and choreography.

Late for Work: The alarm goes off, you hit snooze button, the next thing you know, you jump out of bed & rush to work! Sound familiar? A quick-change relay race for those who run behind on their way to the office. How fast can you get dressed?

Aqua Blast: Teams will make a human sling-shot by using giant rubber tubing, hurling water balloons as far as 200 yards down the beach to see who can score the longest shot.

Blind Man’s Trust: How much do you trust your teammates? What kind of communicator are you? We will find out as you either lead or follow through the obstacle course. One person is blind folded, while the other directs through verbal communications.

Firemen’s Relay: Team-work is the key as each team competes to fill their punctured barrel with water to the mark. Make sure your team has the best time, is important to putting out the competition’s fire.

Carved out of the island’s lush and undisturbed beachfront, fairways and framed by live oaks, palm trees and pristine sand dunes while greens offer an extra measure of difficulty with the addition of the cool Atlantic breeze.

Amelia Island is a bicyclist’s paradise, offering entry to some of the state’s best-kept secrets. You will start at the Fort Clinch State Park; from there you will ride through beautiful Canopied Roads and then proceed to the historic downtown of Amelia Island where you will have free time.

Experience a unique day on Amelia Island during a fishing tour over the ocean. You will enjoy this trip on the fishing vessel, the Heavy Hitter. The boat is located on beautiful Amelia Island, bordered by the Atlantic Ocean and the Amelia River, a vacation paradise where the fishing is spectacular year round! The Heavy Hitter is a 2008 40 ft. Osmond Beal commercial fishing vessel, custom built in the state of Maine. Captain Benny Hendrix, owner and renowned native fishing guide will take you where the fish are biting offshore for bottom fishing and trolling, or inshore on the Intracoastal Waterway along the scenic shoreline of Historic Fernandina Beach. Before you start fishing, Captain Benny gives a short instruction and shows the best techniques to get a successful catch. Along the way, Captain Benny shares his knowledge about various local fish species and answers your questions.

The Honorable Barry Schermer has graciously agreed to BRING BACK the Schermer Tennis Tournament. Judge Schermer will again organize and host the tennis tournament. Bring your racquet and play a round!!!

Ritz Kids introduces our young guests to the natural wonders of the island through a variety of hands-on adventures. Designed for children ages 5 through 12, the supervised program entertains kids with educational games and activities featuring a different theme each day. The Ritz-Kids full day program, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm each day, includes juice, snacks and lunch, $85. The half day program, 9:00 am to 12:00 pm or 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, includes juice and snacks, $55.00.
